Martha (Maude) Anderson died Tuesday, March 3, at Villa West Care Center in Winterset. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Anderson was born June 25, 1893 in Benton County, Iowa, the daughter of Otto Webert and Wilhelmina Krueger.
Married to Charles Anderson in Madison County on April 2, 1914, the couple had two children.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and lifetime resident of Madison County. She was a member of Zion Ladies Aid and Scott Township Community Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; and two sisters.
She is survived by a son, Russell Anderson of Peru; a daughter, Marge Lathrum of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. A. R. Marquis of Marshalltown and Mrs. L. O. Novotny of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, March 5, at Collins Funeral Home, Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
