Services for Golda Mae Black, 80, St. Charles, who died Aug. 9 at her residence, were held Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Chet Waterman officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.
Born in Lucas, on Nov. 3, 1896, she was the daughter of John and Ella Baker Wharff. She was married June 27, 1917 at St. Charles to Fred Black.
She was a member of the Women's Parish Club and the St. Charles Parish Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine Shreves and husband Art of St. Charles; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, an infant son and seven brothers.
