Geo. Black died At St. Charles

George William Black, the son of Frank and Sue Small Black, was born near St. Charles, on August 12, 1906, and died on April 1, 1972, at the age of 65 years at his home near St. Charles.

"DOC" as he was known, was a farmer and lived all of his life near St. Charles.

He was united in marriage to Neva Bender, on October 29, 1932, in New Virginia, Iowa, and to this union one daughter was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Neva; his daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Foreman of St. Paul Park, Minnesota; three grandchildren; Sinda, Jon, and Sonia Foreman; two sisters, Corene Pahre and Yvetta Black; one niece, Maxine Headrick, all of St. Charles.

Funeral services were conducted at the United Methodist church in St. Charles, on Tuesday, April 4, 1972, 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. William L. Andre officiating.

Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.

Kale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
