GRACE M. CAMERON, Osceola

Services for Grace M. Cameron, 84, who died at Clarke County Memorial Hospital at Osceola Nov. 9, 1982, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

Mrs. Cameron was born Aug. 19, 1898 in Litchfield, Neb., the daughter of Francis Marion and Sarah Lou Alcorn Patton. At the age of nine she moved with her family to Winterset where her father died three weeks later.

She received her education in the Winterset schools and prior to her marriage she worked for three years at the Fox grocery in Winterset. On May 8, 1918, she married Arthur McCord Cameron in Winterset.

Survivng are her husband, sons, Phil and Ray, both of Winterset, and Rex of Osceola; daughters, Margaret Gowin of Carroll, Barbara Lightner of Creston, and Beverly Fenimore of Des Moines; a sister, Nellie Cameron of Winterset; 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Robert, a granddaughter, Lisa Fenimore; three infant grandchildren; a brother, Ray, and three sisters, Ora Ragan, Dola Hircock Ragan, and Bertha Bailey.

Grace Cameron Rites Nov. 12

Grace M. Cameron, Osceola, died at the Clarke County Public Hospital Tuesday, November 9, 1982. Services were held Friday, November 12, from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayres officiating at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.

Grace M. Cameron was born August 19, 1898, in Lexington, Nebraska, daughter of Francis Marion Patton and Sarah Lou Alcorn Patton. She lived her entire lifetime in Madison County. She was married to Arthur Cameron on May 8, 1918, in Winterset.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur, of Osceola, three sons, Phil and Ray Cameron of Winterset, and Rex Cameron of Osceola, three daughters, Margaret Gowin of Carroll, Barbara Lightner of Creston, and Beverly Fenimore of Des Moines, and one sister, Nellie Cameron of Winterset.
