MRS. O. N. ARCHER DIES AT 81 YEARS

Death Occurred Saturday at University Hospital in Iowa City

Mrs. O. N. Archer of Truro, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died Saturday, July 14, at University hospital in Iowa City. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. Archer was the former Mary Maud Scott, daughter of Princeton W. and Edwina Wiggins Scott. She was born in this county, April 19, 1881. Most of her life was spent at Truro and in Winterset.

She was married March 16, 1899 to Oliver N. Archer. Their only child, a daughter, died in infancy. Mr. Archer's death occurred in 1955.

She was a member of the Truro Methodist church, the Truro Garden club and was a life member of the Eastern Star.

Nearest surviving relatives are three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Travis of Truro, Mrs. Edith Read of Winterset and Mrs. Gertrude Weed of Orient; and two brothers, W. P. Scott and Frank Scott both of Truro. She also leaves a nephew and niece, who were reared in her home, Leo Dick of Truro and Mrs. Edwina Woolery Vorgan of El Paso, Texas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Kale Funeral home in Truor, with the Rev. Arthur Weed of Orient officiating. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery near Truro.
