MORTUARY

Sarah E. Doak

Sarah E. McDaniel, daughter of Henderson and Sarah Ann McDaniel, was born Dec. 9, 1858 in Madison county, Iowa. Died in the same county Dec. 17, 1920, age 62 years and eight days.

On Dec. 23, 1875, she was united in marriage to W. A. Doak and lived in Madison county all her life. To this union were born eight children, six of whom are living. Her husband, who preceded her in June, 1905 and two children, Walter A., who died in infancy and Grace, at the age of 12 years. Those living are: W. F. Doak of The Dalles, Ore.; Charles C. Doak, Thos. C. Doak and Mrs. Hazel E. Brock, of Winterset; Mrs. Jennie Seidell of Des Moines and M. C. Doak of Hanley. Besides five grandchildren, one sister and five brothers survive her.

Mrs. Doak lived a good Christian life and was a member of the U. B. church. She was an invalid for several years, but bore her suffering without complaint.

Funeral services were held at the North River U. B. church Sabbath afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. W. J. Stewart. Burial at McDonald cemetery.
