Death Occurs at His Home in Lincoln Township, Aged 63 Years
Dwight C. McClelland, a long-time resident of Madison county, died Friday Sept. 6 at his home in Lincoln township. Death came suddenly, as result of a heart condition. He was 63 years of age.
Mr. McClelland was born north of Adair, in Guthrie county, on July 6, 1900, a son of John and Lily Cowden McClelland, His life was spent in farming. He had lived in Madison county for 32 years and was member of the Winterset Methodist church.
He was married April 20, 1924, to Audra Laughlin, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Rex McClelland of Short Hills, N. J.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Wilford Plymesser and Mrs. Sam Neilson, and a brother, Wilbur McClelland, all of Greenfield.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John C. Porath. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
