LAURA ARMBREST DIED WEDNESDAY

Funeral Services Held Here Saturday For Long-Time Resident

Mrs. Laura L. Armbrest, long-time resident of Winterset died last Wednesday, Jan. 13, in Des Moines. She was 79 years of age.

Mrs. Armbrest had lived most of her life in this community. She was a native of Missouri where she was born in Hamilton county on Spt. 4, 1880, a daughter of Tom and Mary Cateron.

She was married at Winterset in 1896 to Eli Armbrest. He preceded her in death in 1953. A son, Charles, also preceded her in death.

She was member of the Winterset Christian church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wynona Brodmarkle of Des Moines; one granddaughter; three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Grier of Beaumont, Tex.; and a brother Ernest Cateron of Council Bluffs.

Runeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
