David Earl Farlow, 62, of Truro died May 3, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, at Martensdale Community church with Pastor Joel Andrus officiating. Burial was at Young Cemetery, Ohio township, Madison County.
Dave Farlow was born Dec. 15, 1942, in Des Moines to George Albert and Adina Mary (Contri) Farlow. He was a 1961 graduate of Winterset High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa for four years. On June 15, 1986, he was united in marriage to Shivaun Marie Festler in Junction City, Kansas. He resided in Des Moines before moving to the Truro area 16 years ago.
Dave was a former editor of the Winterset Madisonian and most recently worked in the mortgage department for Wells Fargo. He was a member of the St. Charles Lions Club, Winterset Kiwanis Club (past lieutenant governor in Iowa and Nebraska) and the Martensdale Community Church, where he was very active with the Missions Community. He also was a former member of the Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Albet Farlow Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Shivaun, of Truro; one son, Kyle Farlow of Truro; three daughters, Tawni Hammans of Brooklyn, Iowa, LeAnna Rood of Lawson, Mo., and Victoria Danner of Richmond, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
