Margaret Gilbert, Dayton, Nev.

Funeral services for Margaret May Gilbert, 73, were held June 22 at the Church of Christ in Earlham with the Rev. Ted Morelock officiating. Mrs. Gilbert died June 15, 1993 of a heart condition at Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Nevada. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

She was born July 6, 1919 in Unionville, Mo. to Earl and Nina (Salsberry) Graves. She married Verlyn Gilbert in Unionville, Mo., July 16, 1939. They owned and operated Gilbert's cafe in Earlham from 1943-1953.

Surviving relatives include her husband Verlyn of Dayton; two sons, Michael of Earlham and Gary of Des Moines; two daughters, Deanna French of Crawford, Colo. and Judy Anderson of Westminster, Colo; a sister, Maxine Burke of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
