Helen Dippold Death Reported

Helen Marjorie Shera Dippold was born at Mitchellville, Iowa on Sept. 28, 1911, the daughter of Henry and Mary Jane Shera and died Tuesday, August 19, 1978, at her home in Urbandale, Iowa

She was married to Henry Andrew Dippold on June 11, 1930. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1977. Mrs. Dippold joined the Lutheran Church in Van Meter in 1946 and was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Des Moines at the time of her death.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Cooper of Woodburn; a son, Harlan Dippold of Urbandale; a brother, Emery Shera of Prairie City; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Mrs. Dippold was preceded in death by her husband, a baby daughter, a sister and four brothers.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 2, at 10:30 a.m. from Mt. Olive Lutheran Church with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
