Josie Bennett Hoskins, Winterset

Graveside services for Josephine Bennett Hoskins, 101, were held June 12 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Michael S. Ginn officiating. Mrs. Hoskins died June 9, 1993 at Winterset Care Center North.

Born in Madison County on December 2, 1891 she was the daughter of Alfred Lehman and Ola (Negus) Bennett and granddaughter of Madison County pioneer Andrew Bennett. She married George Hoskins, January 30, 1924 in Winterset. A homemaker, she was a lifetime resident of the area and was a member of Bear Creek Friends Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
