Funeral services were held May 24 for Dawes David Harris, 81, who died of cancer May 20, 1993. Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Harris was born May 24, 1911 to John and Alice (Black) Harris in Scranton, Kan. He married Mary Coffin September 8, 1934. He worked for Hunter Brothers Farm near Earlham for 41 years. He was a member of Early Chapel Church, where he taught Sunday School. He recently moved to Winterset Care Center South from Madison Manor in Earlham, where he lived for ten years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and a brother.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Hutton of Patterson and numerous nieces and nephews.
