Services for Lex Snyder (Alexis Keith Snyder) 76, were held Tues., Jan. 22, 1991 at Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Leslie officiating. Snyder died of a heart ailment Sat. Jan. 19 at home.
Born in Bedford October 15, 1914 to Carl Alexis and Florence Inez (Keith) Snyder. He married Vida Ruth Kimpton September 18, 1934. He had lived in Winterset 39 years, coming from Parnell, Mo. He was the retired owner of an auto body repair shop and a member of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John of Winterset; two daughters, JoAnne Walker of Winterset and Sherri Alexander of Englewood, Colo.; two brothers, Harold Jay of Diagonal and Donald E. of Ridge Crest, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Nash of Sheridan, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
