ETHEL M. HAINES, Winterset

Ethel M. Haines, 82, of Winterset died June 30, 2001, of respiratory failure at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Graveside services were held Monday, July 2, at Winterset Cemetery with Pastor Bob Epperson officiating.

Ethel Haines was born March 8, 1919, in Madison County to Oliver and Blanche (Meyers) Hendricks. In 1943 she married Woody Miner. In 1962 she married Eldon Haines at the First Christian Church in Winterset. Ethel had been a cook and waitress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldon, a daughter, three brothers and a great-granddaughter.

She is survived by a daughter, Krisha Porter of Winterset; three sons, Woody Miner Jr. (wife Vicki), Dennis Miner (wife Sherry) and Reggie Miner (wife Rhonda), all of Winterset; three sisters, Laona Goater and Margaret Jones, both of Winterset, and Wilda Phillips of Fertile; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
