Emily M. Haines, 83, of Winterset died of a heart ailment Aug. 7, 1998, at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 10, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Gaul officiating. Interment followed at the Winterset Cemetery.
Emily Madeline Haines was born Sept. 30, 1914 in Warren County to Robert L. Clampitt and Dollie (Davis) Clampitt. She lived in Winterset most of her life and was a retired homemaker and sales clerk, having worked for Younkers for 37 years. Emily also belonged to the First Christian Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and one son.
She is survived by two sons, Donald W. Haines of Winterset and Jerry Lee Haines of Ames; one daughter, Shirley M. Odom of Guantanamo Bay naval Station, Cuba; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
