STUART-Eileen E. Clarke, 80, died at her home south of Stuart on July 12, 1994. A funeral was held July 16 at Steen Funeral Home at Greenfield, with burial following at Greenfield Cemetery.
The daughter of Frank A. and Lillian Morford Leeper, she was born near Penn Center in Madison County on Sept. 11, 1913. She married Edmond V. Clarke on Oct. 3, 1931. She lived most of her life in Iowa except for a few years in Illinois and Nebraska. In May 1994, she reired after 22 years employment as a cook at Stuart Community Care Center.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, a son, her husband and two brothers.
Survivors include a son, Eugene of Stuart; a brother, Merle Leeper of Earlham; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Center United Methodist Church at rural Earlham.

Eileen Clarke, 80, of Stuart, died of a heart ailment July 12, 1994 in her home. Funeral services were July 16 at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. J. Larry Vallery officiating. Burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 11, 1913 in Madison County to Frank A and Lillian (Morford) Leeper. She married Edmond V. Clarke on Oct. 3, 1931. She lived in the Stuart area most of her life and retired from the food service department at Stuart Community Care Center.
Local surviving relatives include one brother, Merle Leeper of Earlham.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Penn Center United Methodist Church.
