REUBEN LeCOCQ Died Thursday

Reuben D. LeCocq of Winterset, a well known Madison county retired farmer, died Thursday, July 24, 1969, at Memorial Hospital.

Mr. LeCocq was a life-time resident of Union and Madison counties. He was born in Union county Aug. 19, 1894, a son of Lester A. and Mary A. Miller LeCocq. He moved to Madison county in 1930.

Mr. LeCocq was engaged in farming during most of his active life, but also was in the automobile and implement business for a number of years. He was affiliated with the Methodist church.

His first wife, Ethel Mae Davis, preceded him in death. He was married in 1938 to Edna M. Beal, who survives him.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Ward and Claude LeCocq of Winterset; a step-daughter, Maxine Adams of Rogersville, Mo; four grandchildren; one step-grandson, three sisters, Mrs. C. Downing and Pearl Farnsworth of Creston and Ruth Garrett of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a brother Clifford LeCocq of Creston.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. E. K. Burham, pastor of the Winterset United Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
