ROBERT NIBLO Died Suddenly Thursday

Robert S. Niblo, one of the widely known and highly respected citizens of Madison county, died suddenly from a heart ailment on Thursday morning.

Mr. Niblo had spent his active life in Madison county, and was 62 years of age. He had not been in good health for several years, but was able to attend to his business interests here.

He was born in Jones county on March 1, 1875, the son of Robert and Gertrude Backus Niblo. When but a few weeks old, he came with his parents to Madison county, and this was his home for the remainder of his life.

He was married to Annie M. Bruce on January 27, 1898. They moved to a farm four miles north of Winterset where they lived for many years, coming to Winterset about a year ago because of ill health.

Near relatives are his wife, one son, Dale Niblo, and one daughter, Mrs. Alvin Alexander. He also leaves one brother, John Niblo of Huron, South Dakota, two sisters, Mrs. Sherman Baker of this county and Mrs. Chas Rumford of Ottawa, Kansas.

Funeral services were held last Friday at the Methodist church here in charge of the pastor, the Rev. M. R. Talley, and burial made in the Winterset cemetery.
