Last Monday morning an infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Judge Read of this place, died of pneumonia rather unexpectedly. The Judge left on Saturday for Allerton to attend court, the baby was then sick but not thought at all dangerous until Sunday night, when the doctors would give no encouragement, and on Monday morning at half past nine died very easy. The Judge was telegraphed for, and reached home Tuesday morning. The funeral took place at the M. E. Church, Tuesday afternoon, at three o'clock. Not withstanding the storm a goodly number of friends joined the procession and followed the bereaved family to the cemetery where the remains of the darling were deposited, amoung tears and sadness.
