Services for Russell Stuart, 68, Winterset, who died Aug. 20 at his residence, were held Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Morrow officiating. Burial was at the King Cemetery.
Born at Peru Dec. 8, 1916, he was the son of Lawrence and Ruth Garst Stuart.
He was a lifetime resident and was self-employed as a brick mason and carpenter. He was married to Nellie J. Wright on Aug. 20, 1940 at Trenton, Mo.
Survivors include daughters, Dulsey Gray and Lora Woods of Winterset, Lois Moore of Carson City, Nev., Ruth Good of Sioux City and Barbara Thrasher of Harlan; brothers, Raymond Stuart of Denver, Colo., and Ronald Stuart of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter, Nellie Arvetta; and a granddaughter, Stacy Woods.

Metro Page 7WINTERSET, IA.—Services for Russell Stuart, 68, of Winterset, who died of a heart attack Tuesday at home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in King Cemetery in Madison County.
Mr. Stuart was born in Peru, Ia., and was a brick mason and carpenter.
Survivors include five daughters, Dulsey Gray and Lora Woods, both of Winterset, Lois Moore of Carson City, Nev., Ruth Good of Sioux City and Barbara Thrasher of Harlan; two brothers, Raymond of Denver, Colo., and Ronald of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
