WILLIAM C. "BILL" FOGLER, Patterson

Services for William C. "Bill" Fogler, 91, Patterson, who died Oct. 7, 1987, at Care Center North where he had resided, were held Oct. 9 at Patterson Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Montpelier Cemetery in rural Patterson.

Born in Patterson on Aug. 15, 1896, he was the son of Lyman T. and Laura Potter Fogler. He was a lifetime resident of the Patterson area and farmed until his retirement in 1961.

On June 19, 1951, he was married to Elma B. Roseman at Adel. He served in France during World War I and was a member of Green-Rogers American Legion post for 58 years.

He was a member of the Patterson Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert of Van Meter and a step-son, John Roseman of Pomona, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Snell of Winfield, Kan.; a brother, Guy, of Winterset; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Wycoff, in April 26, 1935; his parents, an infant daughter and two sisters.
