LYMAN FOGLER Of Patterson Dies

Lyman T. Fogler, long-time resident of the Patterson community, died at his home here Friday, July 15, 1949, at the age of 88 years. He had been in failing health for several years, and seriously ill for about six months.

Mr. Fogler was born in Fayette county, Illinois, Feb. 9, 1861. He came to Madison county in 1879, and was married Nov. 30, 1882, to Laura Jane Potter. Their married life was spent in the vicinity of Patterson.

They were the parents of four children, Mrs. W. H. Garmon of Des Moines, Guy E. Fogler of Patterson, Mrs. J. A. Garmon of Truro, and William C. Fogler of Patterson.

Mrs. Fogler died in 1944.In addition to the four children, he leaves 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two half sisters, Mrs. George Boelte of Lincoln, Kan., and Mrs. Herbert Watters of Brookville, Kan.; and three half-brothers, Farmer O'Brien of Santa Ana, Calif., Ike O'Brien of Garden City, Kan., and Dennis O'Brien of Tescott, Kan.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Patterson Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Oren Hall. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery.
