Funeral services were conducted Friday, January 16, at 1:30 p.m. for Fred L. Niblo, a lifetime resident of Madison County who died Tuesday, January 13, 1976, at the age of 74.
Rev. Alan Parker presided over the services from the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset. Burial was made at Penn Center Cemetery in Madison County.
Born September 4, 1901 in Madison Cunty, Mr. Niblo was the son of Frederick J. Niblo and Florence E. Banker. His marriage to Nettie A. Fife took place October 22, 1919 in Pitzer.
A farmer most of his life, Fred Niblo and his wife operated the Sale Barn Cafe in Winterset for several years. He was affiliated with the First United Presbyterian Church and an Elder for twenty years.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie A. Niblo, a son, Robert Phillip Niblo of Des Moines, a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Patricia Ann) Kuhns of Winterset, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. Niblo was preceded in death by his parents. He had no brothers or sisters.
