Richard C. IlgenFritz, Des Moines

Funeral services for Richard C. IlgenFritz, 67, were held Sat. Nov. 17 at Dunn's Funeral Home, Des Moines. He died Wed. Nov. 14 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of a heart attack.

Born In Dexter, September 19, 1923 to Hugh and Mary Ellen (Crane) IlgenFritz, he was raised in Winterset and graduated from Winterset High School. He served in World War II in the Navy and afterwards graduated from the University of Iowa. He lived in Paris, Ill. until 1969 when he moved to Des Moines. He owned a specialty company in Des Moines, Richard Jerry Inc., until his retirement in 1978.

He is survived by his wife Jean (Carter) IlgenFritz; three daughters, Molly McDaniel of Bremerton, Wash.; Elizabeth IlgenFritz of White Plaines, New York and Jane Hart of West Des Moines; two step-sons, Mark Dunkak of Minneapolis and Kevin Dunkak of Telluride, Col.; Nancy Swisher of Iowa City and four grandchildren.
