Wednesday, January 24, 1973Funeral Held For Mrs. Ward Greenwood
Genevieve Greenwood, born at St. Charles on April 4, 1899 and a Madison county resident for life, died Jan. 16, 1973, at the Madison county Memorial Hospital. She was 73 years of age.
Mrs. Greenwood was the daughter of William and Etta Mae Shreeves Johnston, and was married on Dec. 1913 to Lou Cleland, who preceded her in death in 1947. She was married in 1949 to Ward Greenwood of Winterset.
Mrs. Greenwood is survived by her husband and two sons; John Cleland of Winterset and Clifford Cleland of Des Moines; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Kinaird of Patterson, Iowa. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Greenwood were held Jan. 18, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. from the Collins Funeral Home with burial at the St. Charles cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. William L. Andre.
