Frances Geraldine Howard Greenwood, 76, of Stuart, Fla., died Dec. 13, 2003, at her home following a five-month illness.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, Dec. 17 at the First Presbyterian Church in Stuart, Fla. Interment will be at the Winterset Cemetery at a later date.

Frances Greenwood was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Scott Township, Madison County, to Walter and Vada (Armstrong) Howard. She was a 1943 graduate of Winterset High School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (Halpatiokee Chapter) of Stuart, Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Guiher Gene Greenwood of Stuart, Fla.; a daughter, Lynn Marie Friscia of Roslyn Harbor, N.Y.; a son, Dr. William Howard Greenwood of Lawrenceville, Ga.; a brother, Norman Howard of Green Valley, Ariz.; a sister, Jeanne Mirock of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
