Ivyl Earl Slaybaugh, 89, of Greenville, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at the Greenville Care Center in Greenville, Mo.

Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 3, at the Earlham Cemetery.

Ivyl Slaybaugh was born Sept. 7, 1913, in Guthrie County, the son of Earl and Jennie Tallman Slaybaugh. He married Lela Schwaderer on March 25, 1937. He had been a farmer, and was a member of the Early Chapel Christian Church of Earlham.

He is survived by his wife, Lela, of Piedmont, Mo.; one daughter, Cheryl Cook, of Piedmont, Mo.; three brothers, Ollie Slaybaugh of Stuart, Vern Slaybaugh of Panora, and Walter Slaybaugh of Guthrie Center; one sister, Nyla Prueitt of Des Moines; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
