ELEANOR TAYLOR, Winterset

Eleanor Taylor, 86, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 of congestive heart failure at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Eleanor was born April 8, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Adolph and Clara (Baus)Schaeffer. Her marriage to Douglas Taylor took place on September 23, 1941 in New York City, New York. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Winterset and the Garden Club.

She is survived by close friends, Myron and Kristie Hirschman and family; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Douglas on September 13, 2001; three brothers, Frank, Adolph and Fred; and sisters, Clara and Evelyn.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
