JOHN R. JACKSON, Gainesville, Fla.

Services for John R. Jackson, 72, Gainesville, Fla., who died Sept. 27, 1988, at the Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, were held Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born on Jan. 12, 1916 in Madison County, he was the son of William Frederick and Edith Fleener Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a retired farmer and had spent the past ten years in Florida. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, John N. of Archer, Fla., Jeron D. of New Westville, Ohio, and Mark of Gainesville, Fla.; a brother, George Jackson of Winterset; a sister, Eleanor Poland of Harlingen, Texas; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and three brothers.
