July 11, 1973Mac Junkin of Earlham Dies
Mac W. Junkin of Earlham, a well-known retired farmer who lived in Penn township for 42 years, died Wednesday, June 25, at Rowley Memorial Masonic home in Perry. He was 81 years of age.
Mr. Junkin was a son of James F. and Etta Junkin, and was born in Madison county Oct. 11, 1891. When he was 6 months of age his mother died, and he was taken into the home of R. W. Stewart and reared by an aunt, Mrs. Grace Stewart Bissell.
He was married April 1, 1914 to Nina L. Rose. For two years thereafter he operated a garage in Earlham, then moved to the family farm in Penn township where they lived for 42 years. They moved to Earlham in 1958. Mrs. Junkin died in 1966.
