Gayle Junkin, Earlham

Gayle Junkin, 91, of Earlham, died of heart failure Jan. 20, 1995 at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were at the First Presbyterian Church in Earlham. Dr. Ray Martin officiated the services with burial at the Earlham Cemetery.

She was born in Earlham on Oct. 5, 1903 to John Holiday and Margaret (Kail) Junkin. She was a teacher and had lived 53 years in the Earlham Community. She was a Life member of the Iowa State Teachers College; a member of the First Presbyterian Church; Sorosis College; National Retired Teachers Association; Iowa Genealogical Association; and had been a trustee of the Earlham Library for 19 years.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving relatives include nieces and nephews.
