October 1905Death of Mrs. Caleb Price
Mrs. B. R. Price, nee Ruby, wife of Caleb Price, died at Paonia, Colorado, last Monday. Mrs. Price was a daughter of Isaac Ruby, and came with her parents from Indiana about forty five years ago. The old Ruby home was in Ohio, but before coming to Iowa this branch of the family stopped for some time in Indiana. While there, Miss Barbara met Mr. Price, and soon after coming to Iowa, he came to claim his bride. After the marriage they returned, but in a short time came back to Madison county to make their permanent home about three miles southwest of the city, where they lived until a few years ago, when both Mr. and Mrs. Price began to fail in health and removed temporarily to Colorado, supposing a change of climate would be beneficial. We understand, however, that they still regarded this as their home.
Mrs. Price leaves four children, L. V. who lives near the old home; Cliff, who lives in Rocky Ford, Colo; Nannie, who was with her mother at the time of her death, and Fanny, Mrs. Beerbower, of Minnesota. Another daughter, Ora, died last year. The remains will be brought here Thursday.
