ALBERT P. SMOOT

Son of James W. and Jemima Smoot was born September 14, 1852 and departed this life December 22, 1928, aged 76 years, 3 months and 8 days.

He was the fourth of five children, Catherine, Adaline, Coleman, and Williams, three of which preceded him to the great beyond.

He at one time had been a member of the Baptist Church, and has many times expressed an abiding faith in the saving power and mercies of God.

He had always been a lover of the beautiful in nature, birds and flowers being his delight. Listening to music was one of his favorite past times.

He was always kind to those with whom he came in contact. He took sick December 12, and grew gradually worse. The end came Saturday evening, December 22, at 7 o’clock. He is at rest.
