JASPER CONARD OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Life-Long Resident Here Died Feb. 21 at Age of 92 Years

Funeral services were held Feb. 23 from the Methodist church in St. Charles for Jasper Conard, a life-long resident of Madison county whose death occurred Feb. 21 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Addie Frey, in Des Moines. The Rev. Clifford Pine conducted the services. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mr. Conard was 92 years of age. He was born in South township on Oct. 17, 1866 a son of Jackson and Submitta Conard. His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church.

He was married Oct. 14, 1891, to Emma Carter, who survives him. He also leaves three children, Roy Conard of St. Charles, Mrs. Ivy Shannon of Bevington, and Mrs. Frey of Des Moines, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
