Page 6MICHAEL BUSCH DIES IN MILITARY SERVICE
Michael B. Busch formerly of near Winterset, died June 17 at Ellsworth Air Force base, Rapid City, South Dakota, and was brought to this community for burial, June 20. Interment was made in Pleasantview cemetery in Webster township. Green Rogers post of the American Legion at Winterset participated in the burial service with military ritual.
Airman Busch was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Busch, now of Cooper, Iowa. He was born on a farm west of Winterset on Dec. 19, 1933 and spent his early life in this community. In 1949 he moved with his parents to Cooper.
He entered the service in the U. S. Air Force in 1952. In overseas assignments he had served in Newfoundland, Greenland and the Hawaiian islands before being sent to Rapid City.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Jerry Busch of Cooper and Joe Busch Jr., of Jefferson; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Morse of Des Moines and Mrs. Doris Tipton of Cooper.
