Norma Junkin, Winterset

Norma L. Junkin, 83, of Winterset, died Aug. 20, 2005 at the Madison county Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A memorial service was held Tuesday Aug. 23 at the Earlham church of Christ in Earlham, Iowa officiated by Pastor John Shaull.

Norma was born in Winterset on June 4, 1922, to Patrick and Myrtle (Seiler) Cline.

Following graduation from Winterset High School in 1940, Norma lived in Colorado and Oklahoma before returning to Madison County in 1953. On January 18, 1957, Norma married Franklin Junkin in Chillicothe, Mo. Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the Madison County Genealogical Society.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; a brother, Ralph Cline; son-in-law, Harlan Cornelius,; step-son, Steven Junkin and grandson Aaron Gilmore.

She is survived by her son Jim Junkin and wife Jolaine of Raymore, Mo.; daughter Anne Eddy of Clayton, NC.; daughter Patricia Cornelius of Minneapolis, Minn.; daughter Jeanne Gilmore of Earlham; step-daughter Linda Humphreys of Punta Gorda, Fla.; brother Glenn Cline and wife Pat of Winterset; sister Wilma Jordan of Peru; brother Gail Cline and wife Bev of Winterset; brother Murray and wife Arlene of Winterset; sister Janice Feldman of Van Meter; sister Jeanne Rieck and husband Don of Ames; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
