Funeral services were held at the Seibert Evangelical Church on Wednesday afternoon, January 2, 1935 for Mrs. George Rose who passed away on December 31. Rev. T. A. Marks officiated and burial was made in the Siebert Cemetery. A Quartet consisting of Mrs. John Schekel, Miss Florence Sheets. and Messrs. J.E. and Robert Andre sang three appropriate numbers. A large number from this and other localities were present in honor of their beloved friend.

Susan Henrietta Street was born July 11, 1845, near Shelbyville, Illinois and died December 31, 1935 near Seibert, Colorado, having reached the age of 89 years, 5 months and twenty days.

Her early years were spent in Illinois, later moving with her mother and family to Missouri where she lived until her marriage in May 1862 (1863) to George Rose.

After her marriage, she moved with her husband to Iowa, living in Madison County until the fall of 1887 when the family came to Colorado, locating near Hoyt and later moving to a homestead near Bovina.
