MRS. FLOYD MYERS DIED THURSDAY

Had Been Resident of Peru Community for Last 24 Years

Mrs. Floyd Myers of Peru died at her home there last Thursday, Dec. 11 at the age of 68 years.

Mrs. Myers had been a resident of Madison county the last 24 years. She was the former Clara J. Ries, daughter of Henry and Katherine Ries, and was born in Clarke county, Feb. 6, 1890.

She was married March 12, 1913, to Floyd Myers, who survives her.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Putney of Brooklyn, Wisc.; four sons, Kenneth and Loren Myers of Peru, Harold Myers of Clinton and Emmet Myers of the U. S. Air force in France; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Hickman of Murray and Mrs. Minnie Hall of Osceola; a brother, Charlie Ries of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Peru Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Hugh Williams of Stuart. Burial was made in Union cemetery at Murray.
