Mrs. Ralph Herren Dies

Mrs. Ralph Herren of Macksburg, a life-long resident of that community, died unexpectedly Sunday night enroute to Creston where she was employed as a nurse's aide at the Greater Community Hospital.

Mrs. Herren was 42 years of age. She was born December 28, 1930. She was the former Dorothy Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Campbell.

She was married January 1, 1950 to Ralph Herren, who survives her.

Mrs. Herren had worked as a nurse's aide at the hospital in Creston and had served in recent years as the Madisonian correspondent for the Macksburg area.

In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Carla and Connie Herren, both of Des Moines; a son, Gary Herren, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Campbell of Macksburg; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Bargrover of Orlean, Nebraska, Mrs. Carol Jacobs of Winterset and Mrs. Doris Cooper of Hawthorne, California.

Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. this Wednesday from the Macksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Willis Grant officiating. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
