Harriet Irene Campbell, 77, of Winterset died of cancer April 21, 1999, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Harriet Campbell was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Madison County to Gaylord and Ruby (DeVault) Sawhill. She married Robert H. Campbell on Sept. 2, 1965, at Indianola. A homemaker, she also had been a waitress for the former Aldo Cafe and Grace's Cafe, both located in Winterset. A lifetime resident of Madison County, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by two brothers, Wayne Sawhill (wife Lois) of Winterset and Dale Sawhill (wife Sally) of Ankeny; two nieces Loretta Jensen and Robin Beeler; and two nephews, Keith Sawhill and Jeff Sawhill.
