Elmer W. Torok, 78, of Winterset died March 2, 2006, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 7, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.
Elmer Torok was born Dec. 31, 1927, in Tiltonsville, Ohio, to John and Irene (Kardos) Torok. On July 21, 1951, he married LaVerne Parhamovich. Elmer, an aerospace engineer, worked for North American Rockwell in California. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne, of Winterset; two sons, William Torok and Steven Torok; one sister, Olga Vasarelyi; and one grandchild.
