ANNA BROWN, Centenarian, Died Saturday

Services for Anna Brown, 100, Winterset, who died Dec. 26, 1987, at the Bethesda Care Center, will be held Thursday, Dec. 31, at 10:30 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in St. Charles on Jan. 19, 1887, she was the daughter of J. G. and Nettie Chadd Martin. She was a homemaker and owner of the Brown Line Freight Co. She was married to Carl F. Brown on Feb. 14, 1907 in Madison County.

Mrs. Brown was a lifelong resident of the county, was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Women's Club and the Iris Club.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Martin of Des Moines; a sister, Mae Linn of Des Moines; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her step-mother, three children, two brothers and a sister.
