Stanley Croft, Winterset

Stanley Criss Croft, 86, of Winterset, died of complications of Alzheimer's July 4, 1997 at the Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services are today, Wednesday July 9 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Jon Gaul officiating the 11 a.m. services. Fraternal services will be by the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 136 of Winterset. The body will be cremated.

He was born in Madison County on November 24, 1910 to Ross Edward and Nancy Elizabeth (McClain) Croft. He married Catherine Ann Kingery December 125, 1931 in Bethany, Mo. He was a carpenter by trade and was a lifetime resident of Madison County. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 136, Midwest Antique Tool Collectors, and Missouri Valley Wrench Collectors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Eugene Croft and wife Barb of Perry,; one daughter, Ruth Dorrell and husband Rex of Winterset; one brother, Lowell Croft and wife Beulah of Willis, Texas; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Earlham Home Health Care or the Alzheimer's Disease Association.
