Services for Albert Homer Frey, 63, rural Winterset, who died Aug. 17, 1988, at his home were held Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Collins Funeral Home, Larry Pearl officiating. Burial was at the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Oct. 28, 1924, he was the son of Homer and Florence Grewell Frey. He was a self-employed farmer and truck driver and was married to Ruth Marie Durham on Feb. 4, 1950 in Warren County.

Mr. Frey spent his lifetime in Madison County and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church, and the county pork, sheep and cattle producers.

Survivors include his wife and mother, both of Winterset; sons, Gary and Duane, all of Winterset; a daughter, Karen L. Elderkin and husband Gary of Winterset; a sister, Louise Welty of Winterset; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
