Operator of Motor Freight Line Was 53 Years Of Age
Leo P. Huffman of St. Charles died last Thursday, Jan. 16, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset, at the age of 53 years.
Mr. Huffman operated a motor freight line between Des Moines and Truro. He was a life-long resident of Madison county, having been born at Truro on Dec. 4, 1904. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Huffman.
He was married at Winterset on Aug. 29, 1931, to Susan Maxwell of Wick, who survives him. He also leaves two brothers, Howard Huffman of Spearman, Tex., and John Huffman of Osceola; and three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Cherry of Adel, Mrs. Helen Taylor of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Gertrude Patterson of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Wick Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Joe King of Prescott. Burial was made in the Wallace cemetery at Wick.
