ROBERT G. ADCOCK OF LORIMOR DIES

Robert G. Adcock, a life-long resident of Madison and Union counties, died Saturday, April 12, at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Adcock was born on a farm north of Lorimor on Nov. 8, 1894. He engaged in business in Lorimor for a number of years operating the B. and W. café and Standard Service station there. In 1916 he became custodian until ill health forced his retirement a year ago.

He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of the American Legion and Lions club.

He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Kirk; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Loomis of Lorimor, Mrs. Ethel Schrock of Oregon, and Amy of Bellflower, Calif.; and three brothers, Elver of Anderson, Ind., Wilbur of Lakewood, Calif., and Dale of Norwalk, Conn.

Funeral services were held April 13 from the Lorimor Methodist church, with school dismissed for the day and a large number of students attending. The Rev. Carl Burton of Des Moines and the Rev. E. K. Parrott of Lorimor conducted the services.
