MRS. RAY HANDLEY OF LORIMOR DIES

Madison County Resident Since Childhood Was 64 Years Old

Mrs. Ray Handley, a resident of Madison county since childhood, died Saturday, June 28, at her home near Lorimor. She was 64 years of age.

Mrs. Handley was the former Alice M. Phillips, daughter of William and Eva L. Phillips. She was born July 30, 1893, near West Liberty, but moved to Madison county with her parents and spent her life here.

She was married Feb. 4, 1914, to Ray E. Handley, who survives her. She also leaves two children, Charles Handley of Creston and Mrs. Katherine Livingston of Lorimor; and seven grandchildren; in addition to four brothers, Ray Phillips of Murray, Donald Phillips of Chicago, George Phillips of West Liberty.

Funeral services were held July 1 from the Lorimor Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Parrott. Burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
