Death of Wayne Alexander

Wayne Alexander, the fifteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Alexander, of Lincoln township, died Monday morning, May 28th, after a critical illness of several days. The lad had been ill for six months with rheumatism and heart trouble, but he was recovering nicely from that when he became seriously ill with intestinal flu. He became gradually worse, and nothing could be done for him.

The Rev. A. P. Keast will conduct the funeral services at the Alexander home, this afternoon at two o’clock, and burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

The boy is survived by his parents, a sister, Ruth, and a brother, Curtis. His grandmother, Mrs. Mac Miller, of Winterset, also survives him.

Wayne had attended the Beerbower school in Lincoln township and was taking the 8th grade examinations preparatory to his entering high school, when he became ill.
