OBITUARY OF WAYNE FULTON HOOD

Wayne F. Hood, the son of Ralph and Mary Jones Hood, was born February 4, 1919 in Ringgold County, Iowa. He passed away suddenly at his farm October 8, 1980.

Wayne spent his early years in Ringgold County. At the age of 16 he moved to the Winterset area.

On June 12, 1941, he was united in marriage to Marion Monagon in Grant City, Mo. Wayne and Marion spent their life together farming first in Scott Township and then for the last 26 years on their present family farm in Madison County. Their marriage was blessed by six children.

Wayne was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marion; three sons, Gary and Robert of Winterset and Stephen of Savannah, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Karen Carter of Ankeny and Mrs. Sherill Clark of rural Dexter; 12 grandchildren, and two brothers, Miles of Pontiac, Michigan and Paul of Chesapeake, Va.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and an infant daughter.
